A Pre-Wedding shoot is something you may not have considered doing, or maybe the thought completely terrifies you, but I absolutely love doing them. Here are 5 reasons why I think you should get one booked in.
1. It's a perfect way to get to know each other a bit more before your big day.
I'll be spending a good chunk of your wedding day with you (not in your face constantly, in fact, there's a very good chance that you probably won't even notice that I'm there most of the time) but a Pre-Wedding shoot is a great way to actually have a proper chat before your wedding and find out a bit more about the two of you as a couple, and so I know what you both actually look like ahead of the day!
2. If you're not sure how you'll feel in front of the camera, then it's a great warm-up ahead of the day.
You'd be surprised how many people tell me that they're very camera shy and aren't sure how to pose and are actually really quite worried about having their couples portraits done on the day. Some people need more direction than others, but that's what I'm here for and it's my aim to make sure you have some gorgeous and authentic shots of the two of you. Doing a Pre-Wedding shoot is such a good way to get some practice in and see how you move and what poses would work for you on the day. I usually book an hour slot in to do the Pre-Wedding shoots so that you have plenty of time to get some beautiful images of you both.
3. Make it a date!
Personally, I would find ANY excuse for my hubby and I to get dressed up and head out to a beautiful location, and maybe even take a little picnic along with us. So get your picnic blanket ready, pack some of your favourite food and maybe some bubbly and head out to the location of your choice. I'll try not to steal your snacks, but I can't make any promises.
4. Your furry friends are part of your family too!
If you have a gorgeous little pup then they can come along too. I am a huge animal lover so definitely encourage you to bring your furbaby! It's a perfect opportunity to get some shots of you all together, especially if you're not having them there on your wedding day.
5. Your Pre-Wedding photos/videos can be used on your Invitations or on your Wedding Website.
Whether you're having paper invites or doing a Wedding Website, your Pre-Wedding photos are perfect to use for these. Another idea could be for me to create a film as your Save the Date or Invitation which I personally LOVE the idea of doing and think it's such a creative way to invite your guests to your Wedding.
